McBrides Chartered Accountants in Sidcup is delighted to announce the promotion of Anthony Hawkins to director in its corporate finance team.
An ICAEW-qualified chartered accountant since 2009, Anthony joined McBrides as a manager in 2016 from a similar sized firm taking on a hybrid role straddling audit, business advisory and corporate finance.
In 2019, Anthony ceased his hybrid role to focus fully on corporate finance and became senior manager in 2020 supporting partners Mark Grady and Nigel Kimber on management buyouts, buying and selling businesses, conducting due diligence on acquisitions and obtaining financing for growth.
In his new role, Anthony will be leading transactions, growing the team, and further developing McBrides’ corporate finance offering.
Commenting on his promotion from senior manager to director, Anthony said: “I’m delighted to see my efforts towards the growth of the corporate finance team recognised in this way. I relish the opportunities to help our clients with strategic acquisitions, identifying funding to help them grow their businesses and realising value through business disposals.
“I’m looking forward to helping Mark and Nigel further develop and grow the team expanding McBrides’ capabilities.”
McBrides managing partner Tanya Hamilton said: “It’s always a pleasure to recognise and promote people who are making a real difference to our firm, and it’s safe to say that Anthony has since joining us eight years ago. He’s well-known within the regional corporate finance world and an integral part of the McBrides management team too.”
The corporate finance team at McBrides is a regional member of the national Corporate Finance Network and a founding member of the Kent Corporate Finance Alliance.
