Furley Page recognised in two prestigious national legal guides
Individual lawyers and teams at Furley Page have once again been recognised for their expertise in the latest annual rankings published by two leading independent national legal guides, The Legal 500 2022 and Chambers UK 2022, placing the law firm among Kent’s legal elite.
Six practice areas are included in Chambers UK, with the highly-regarded Corporate team ranked in band one, and eight individuals highlighted for their expertise. Meanwhile, The Legal 500 recommends Furley Page in 11 practice areas, while outstanding individual performances by more than 20 of the firm’s lawyers are acknowledged. Deborah Geering and Darren Philpot, both recently promoted to Partner with the firm, have received special mention as ‘Rising Stars’.
Both guides single out the Corporate and Commercial Team, with The Legal 500 praising the “experienced and knowledgeable” team led by Susan Jennings, who is described as “trusted, pragmatic, solution-driven and practical”.
Furley Page’s “outstanding” Dispute Resolution team is lauded for its “responsive, talented and eager” approach, with George Crofton-Martin mentioned as “a tenacious litigator” while Deborah Geering is singled out for her “razor-sharp mind” and attention to detail.
Meanwhile, the “responsive, proactive and approachable” Private Client team is praised by the Legal 500 as “competent, professional and communicative” with Aaron Spencer and Melanie Christodoulou both recommended. These rankings are in addition to the firm’s recent Chambers High Net Worth Guide, which saw Aaron Spencer and his team ranked for Private Wealth law.
The firm’s Personal Injury team is recommended in the Legal 500, with the “extremely efficient” Ross Rowland praised. Furley Page’s Family Law team has a “strong ethos of good communication” with a “number of exceptional family law practitioners”, while the “very knowledgeable and attentive” Real Estate and Commercial Property team is recommended for offering “outstanding advice and service”.
Jeremy Licence, Managing Partner at Furley Page, said: “We are delighted to see these practice areas recognised by these highly respected guides. These results reflect the excellent work carried out across the firm, during what has been a testing and challenging time, and is a testament to the high-quality results we endeavour to achieve on behalf of our clients.”
